Art with a difference. These are the colors and shapes of the world as I see it - and these are the words that describe my visions and dreams and reality. What are we really without beauty? What do we become without hope?
I don't want to know.
These are all high-quality, archival prints. If you want something that really says something - a piece of art that will be unchanged when your great-grandchildren inherit it, these are for you.
All the art is original and all the poetry is done within five minutes of the painting being completed. After the poetry is written, nothing is changed.
This is real stream-of-consciousness type stuff. I can also do custom pieces from photos gathered by family members. Just send me an e-mail and we can discuss it.
I'll be adding more each day. Keep coming back to this site - you never know what will have a special meaning to you or someone you love.

Dave opening Aikido class in Alamogordo, New Mexico.
Dave, just before the opening bow during one of the many Aikido classes at the old NM Hut of of U.S. Highway 70 near Alamogordo. Many years of women's anti-attack classes, traditional Aikido, traditional Muay Thai kickboxing and wrestling were held in this austere location, which had no heating or air-conditioning, scorpions falling from holes in the ceiling, rattlesnakes under the refrigerator, and a huge black-widow spider in the bathroom. The spider, named "Julie," was the club mascot.

I have a number of friends whom are all much better people than I am. The list is short because when I make a friend, I try to keep them for life - like a bad virus. So like anything virulent, approach with solid bio-chem protection and minimize contact. Keep cipro and atropine / 2 pam chloride injectors handy in case of exposure. It's for the best. :)
You all mean more to me than any painting, story or editorial. - I'll delete this blog - and everything I ever wrote or painted before I give up on anyone.
This was a painting I did one year for Memorial day. It features representatives from all our major periods of conflict. This is a print for patriots, those who served or their loved ones. As always, it won't cost you much - just send me an e-mail and we can discuss your requirements.
